Does anyone else "feel" the excitement?  I live in NE Ohio and I can feel "electricity" in the air............and "it ain't from thunder storms", my friends!!!

 

It is from the "big game" coming up tomorrow night in Columbia, SC.   WOW!!  UK #8 against South Carolina #11.  A chance for "sole possession" of the number 1 spot in the SEC East.  Andre Woodson and "the Cats That Can" offense vs the USC defense.  Carolina's "trick" and very efficient offense against an underrated "bunch" of defensive Cats!!!  This game has all the makings of an ESPN "Instant Classic."

 

And.......if that's not enough, we have the "sly ole fox" in Coach Rich Brooks matched up against the "ole ball coach", the cocky, arrogant one, Coach Steve Spurrier. Both will pull out ALL the stops to win this game.

 

This is not just another UK vs USC football game. "No siree"  this game has "big time" National attention.  Everybody in the Land will have "their eyes" on this "one."  National broadcast on ESPN, with folks from all over watching to see if UK can win "the big one" and to see if our Cats are "for real."  In Kentucky everybody from "The Land Between the Lakes" to "The Big Sandy" will be pulling for the underdog Cats (-3.5).  Everybody from Northern Kentucky to the border with "that state" to the South of us will be pulling for The Big Blue. 

 

Don't for one minute.......think this game isn't huge for UK!!!  This game is as "big as it gets" folks!!!  It is one of the "hugest" ever!

 

This is one of those games that will make the Big Blue Nation show their emotion.  We'll cry if they win, those lovely tears of joy, and we will cry, if by some chance, they don't win. "Keyed up" and getting ready to sit on the edge of our Lazy-Boys.........and folks, basketball "ain't even started."  Folks, this is UK football!!  "Ain't life grand" being a UK football fan!!  

 

Who would have thought UK would be in this scenario?...........not me.  I thought UK would be good, I thought very good, but, 5-0?  Naw.......... and I am as positive as "the law allows" when it comes to UK athletics.  But 5-0?  This is the most "fun" that UK football has been since the early 50s...........the way it should be!

 

Just enjoy the "electricity" that you feel in the air. Just enjoy these "Cats That Can"and WILL!  Just enjoy tomorrow nights victory over South Carolina.  Can you "feel" it yet?
